Joel Kim Booster est un humoriste, scénariste et acteur originaire de Chicago et basé à Los Angeles. Il a été nommé l'un des TIME100 Next 2022 en tant que militant, auteur et scénariste émergent à suivre par Variety  (2022). Joel a également été reconnu comme l'un des jeunes comiques queer qui redéfinissent l'humour américain par le New York Times. Joel a joué dans la comédie romantique Fire Island de Searchlight Pictures, qui a remporté le Dorian Award 2023 du meilleur téléfilm et a été qualifié de « classique instantané » par le AV Club.
